concrete leveling: wall planer vs vibrating screed
One call is about a warehouse wall that bulges 20mm under the render. The next is a slab pour that has to come out flat before it sets. Both get sold as concrete leveling — and they need two different machines. Cirelto, a wholesale power-tool supplier in Wenzhou, China, carries both lines in its 2026 range: a 1680W electric wall planer for hardened walls and the SS-2 cordless vibrating screed for fresh pours. This guide splits the two jobs, reads both spec sheets and maps which buyer stocks which.

one machine fixes walls that already set; the other levels the pour while it is wet
The electric wall planer cuts hardened concrete 1-4mm per pass on a 150mm drum. The SS-2 vibrating screed levels fresh slabs with 1.5 / 1.8 / 2.0m alloy rulers. Neither substitutes for the other — the job decides the tool.
the wall planer: 1-4mm off a wall that already set
A wall planer works after the fact. When a concrete or plaster wall cures with screed bumps, form marks or ridges, the planer shaves the high spots off instead of grinding them — a cutting drum rather than an abrasive disc, which is what separates it from the wall grinder class. Search the tool online and you mostly find marketplace listings with thin spec context; the lines that actually decide the buy are cutting width, depth per pass and speed. The Cirelto wall planer reads 1680W rated output driving a 150mm drum at 1000-4000 r/min, with depth adjustable from 1 to 4mm per pass — shallow passes flatten broadly, the full 4mm bites out individual high spots. Supply is 220V / 50-60Hz, the model codes are CIR-17 (corded) and CIR-36L (cordless), and the reversible blades are the repeat-purchase consumable.

the vibrating screed: 1.5-2.0m rulers on a wet pour
The screed works before the fact — it has one chance, while the concrete is still plastic. Dragged across screed rails in a sawing motion, the vibrating ruler tube settles the aggregate and brings paste to the surface, leaving a flat, compacted slab behind it. The Cirelto cordless vibrating screed (model SS-2) runs a brushless head off a 21V / 25000mAh lithium pack — 4-6 hours of runtime, enough for a working shift without a swap — with vibration adjustable across 9 levels: low for fine screeding, high for stiff, low-slump mixes. The alloy rulers come in 1.5m, 1.8m and 2.0m on a 30mm profile, so one head covers pours from paths to floor slabs.
Battery screeds are an established class abroad at larger scales — Tomahawk Power's 36V unit claims up to 600 yd³ of concrete per charge and takes bars from 4 to 14 ft (manufacturer claims, product page, retrieved Oct 2026). That is highway-and-slab-crew territory. The SS-2 works the same principle at the small-crew, metric scale those big-ruler machines do not reach: tight indoor bays, residential slabs, yard and path work.

which buyers stock which
Hardware distributors and renovation retail lean planer. Their customer is already buying wall prep — render, putty, paint — and the planer slots beside the wall grinders they may stock: the grinder finishes the surface, the planer fixes the substrate, and reversible blades keep a consumable attached to the sale. Construction-material dealers and formwork or screeding suppliers lean screed. Their customer buys by the pour, the 21V platform reads as jobsite-friendly next to corded equipment, and the three ruler lengths turn one machine into a small family of SKUs. The two profiles overlap more than they collide — a dealer serving both finishing crews and pour crews stocks both, which is exactly why the lines sit in one range.
stocking both from one container
The math stays small. MOQ is 10 pcs per SKU across the board, so a full screed line opens at 40 pcs — one head plus the three rulers — and a planer line opens at 10. The planer packs one unit per carton at 35.5 × 20 × 33.5 cm and 7.2 kg gross, easy pallet math; the screed head and ruler tubes nest into the same mixed container. Everything consolidates at the Wenzhou warehouse and ships as one consignment in 15-30 days, with samples of any SKU staged in 5-7 days via DHL/FedEx — the mechanics are the same as in the import wall grinders from China playbook. OEM private label opens at 50 pcs per SKU across the range, and the full twelve SKUs are listed in the 2026 catalog. First-time buyers can start from the wholesale power tool accessories from China guide.
faq
Can a wall planer level a concrete floor or slab?
No. The wall planer is a vertical-surface tool: its shoe rides a wall, the 150mm drum cuts upward-facing ridges at 1-4mm per pass, and shavings eject sideways. Fresh slabs are leveled with a vibrating screed while the concrete is still wet; cured floor slabs belong to grinding plates and cup wheels, not a planer.
How deep does the wall planer cut in one pass?
Cutting depth adjusts from 1 to 4mm. Field practice is to start shallow at 1-2mm and increase toward the 4mm maximum only on high spots, letting the 150mm drum make overlapping passes at 1000-4000 r/min until a straightedge sits flush against the wall.
Which screed ruler length should a first order carry?
Match the ruler to the pour widths your customers pour: 1.5m suits paths and strip work, 1.8m covers standard floor bays, 2.0m spans wider slabs. The three lengths are separate SKUs at MOQ 10 pcs each, so a first order can carry the head with all three rulers and still fit the mixed-container minimum — 4-6 hours of runtime per 25000mAh pack covers a working shift.
